Halo
Halo is an amazing first person shooter game. It has
an amazing story plot and the weapons are literally to die for. You play as a Spartan in MJLONIR (MarK 5) Armour with an awsome
shield as well as a health bar. Your ship is hijacked by the alien civilization known as the covenant who origanally started
the war with the humans because we were against their religion. They attempt to take over the ship because they don't want
it to crash in the sacred ring world "Halo". You are forced to abandon ship in a escape pod as it plummets into the ring
world regardless of the covenant's attempts to stop it from doing so. You must survive on this ring world by saving marines,
your captain, and stopping the covenant from activating the ring world fortold to have a massive weapon capable of destroeying
the entire universe. Little do the covenant know that the ring world's weapon is not exactly...controlable. Use a variety
of weapons to battle the covenant or play with some friend's online. A couple of really awsome weapons are the MAB5 AR34 and
the M6D Pistol. The AR34 is a gas gussling Assault Rifle with leathel armour peircing ammunition as well as an enormous 60
bullet clip...not that you'd realise it was that big. The pistol has a 2x scope and is extremely powerful because of it's
highly explosive semi-armour peircing ammo. It is the most commonly used weapon on halo. The multiplayer levels are excellent.
Classic Team vs Team set up. Except in halo you are introduced to the teams, "Red vs. Blue" It's xbox 2001 best seller so
check it out sometime.

Halo 2
The sequal to the xbox 2001 best seller, Halo 2 is a fast action,
high killer rate FPS game. Unlike it's previous game Halo 2 is much faster and loaded with kills. What I mean is that one
area may be filled with snipers, flying drones, aliens, and stealth elites all over the place. If you arn't fast enough, the
snipers will kill you, or the stealth elite will smack you on the back. Everything has to be done quickly and efficiently.
No one must be left behind. There are alot of parts in Halo 2 which can be completely skipped, but come on...if you buy it
you want to KILL ALIENS not run past them all thinking that your a real hero for surviving. There is a larger variety of weapons
and vechicles as well, for almost every covenat vehicle and weapon, the humans have a counter weapon/vehicle. Some weapons
are designed for 2x scope sniping, where as others are for up close and personal such as the shotgun and the SMG. Best of
all you can dual weild in halo 2 which means...TWIN SUB MACHINE GUNS in left AND right hand. Imagine the lethal capability.
But why settle for twin dual weilding, you can dual weild tons of other weapons togeather as well, a common couple is the
new pistol in halo 2 called the Magnum paired up with the SMG. The multiplayer is excellent, however it is adviced that you
buy or download the new maps because the original ones aren't as big as some of us would like them ;) So buy it and try it
out. It's harder, faster, and longer then Halo by any means.

Call of Duty
Call of a Duty is a...how should I put it...INTENSE, FAST, and ALL OF OUT WAR sort of game.
You play as a soldier in either the Russian, US, or English army and battle First Person in the front lines of WW2. Some have
acused Call of Duty as a rip off because it's pretty much just another WW2 game. However, although the story line is similar
to other games and movies it's the graphics, the sound, and the over all war effect that really makes it seem like it's real.
Nothing like holding a Thomson and running across a road while gun shots are wizzing by your ears and explosions are detonating
everywhere. It truely is a fun game. The multiplayer is absoulely crazy. Like most online games there isn't alot of team work
involved, but it sure helps to have an ally nearby when you get rushed by a sqaud of Russians firing at you with sub machine
guns. Unfortunatly, there is very little blood which is a little bit disapointing, but since it's a FPS game then the
ultimate goal is to kill, not to splatter blood across the walls. Over all the game features an excellent multiplayer as well
as single player mode. Any WW2 fan will definatly want to get it.

Republic Commando
Star Wars Rupublic Commando is a professional FPS game
featuring more then just one kick ass player...It features 4 kick ass players! That's right. The character you play as is
known only as Squad Commander 38. He is trained in the field with explosives, long ranged weapons, and hacking. However, his
main skill is planning and commanding his squad effectively. He's a very cool orange character and his voice is played by
the same guy who plays Jango Fett. Your squad is made up of Scorch 48, Sev 07, and Fixer 40. It's pretty obvious that scorch
carries the bombs, fixer's the computer wiz, and Sev is the marksmen of the squad. There are three enormous levels which you
and your squad are dropped into. The levels are rigged with a check point system similar to halo. There's a variety of weapons
to choose from. Shotguns, SMG's, Laser Rifles, Anti-Armour, and the commando pistol are just a few of the very cool and dangerour
weapons avalible. The game does require strategy. If your enemy is a mechanical droid of some sort an EMP Grenade and a laser
rifle will be most effective. If your foe is an alien Slaver then your going to want a shotgun and some thermal detonators.
There are a few clone troopers along the way...but don't be releaved when you see them. They are completely useless. You can
also easily revive any squad member at any time if he is shot by using a defliberator. You have a weak shield so if you need
to get some health there are Bacta Tanks all over the levels. The game is fun and full of action. You can position your men
in sniper, Anti-Armour, or grenade chucking positions as well as give your team simple commands such as Search and Destroey
and Hold Position. The AI's are not very smart but they don't need to be because most of the time your either fighting robots
or aliens. In most SW games your probaly used to fearing the mighty droidaka. Well in Republic Commando your main fear should
be the Super Battle Droid. They are all over the place and a bitch to kill. There are always tougher foes though, COUGH...SPIDER
DROID....COUGH.
Definatly a good game. The multiplayer is not worth commenting on. But
the campainge is awsome. It's a good link between Star Wars episode 2 and 3.

Medal Of Honor
Medal of Honor Pacific Assault gives the players
a sense of the courage it took to fight the Imperial Japanese Army from the shock of Pearl Harbour to triumph on the shores
of the Tarawa Atoll. Set in the Pacific Theatre of Operations from 1941 - 1944, players will assume the role of Marine
recruit Tom Conlin as he survives the attack on Pearl Harbour, leads the assault on Guadalcanal, and finally charges up the
beaches for the climatic battle at Tarawa. Armed with their wits and a variety of authentic weapons, its up to players to
stop the Japanese war machine in its tracks.
Medal of Honour Pacific Assault follows the
tradition of previous Medal of Honor products with a brand new arsenal of weapons, new enemies and new storyline. In addition,
Pacific Assault features new multiplayer modes in which up to 32 players can choose soldiers from American, British, Japanese
and other armies. Medal of Honor Pacific Assault will also debut a new 3D technology built specifically for Medal of Honor.
With the original Medal of Honor game, the producers sought counsel from numerous expert sources to ensure the
game is as historically authentic as possible. It's unfortunate that the graphics aren't as good as one would hope but the
sound effects are awsome and the AIs are pretty tricky. They'll flank you, frag you, and pop up from small trenches in the
ground as you begin to panic. You only have your health to protect you, but once you get good at the game health will no longer
be an issue...only ammo will matter.

Star Wars Galastic Battle Grounds
There is alot to say about SWGB on the SWGB page but
here's a little more intel on the game. It's a strategic role playing game. The campainge has extremely basic triggers.
There'svery few movies in it and the game is pretty all out basic. The graphics arn't amazing, the units arn't all the appealing
but what makes the game really really great is the fact that the strategy is advanced and very complex. You must harvest and
maintain 4 different resources <Carbon, Ore, Nova, Food> and choose the right units for the right jobs. There are also
alot of different upgrades that you can add to different units. Your job is decide which upgrades are necessary and which
upgrades are a waste of resources. There's 8 different civilizations to choose from. There arn't alot of advantages any one
civilization has. Each one is pretty much even. The problem with the resources is that you must massively harvest all the
time while building proper units to either attack or counter strike the enemy. Which units you build and how much intel you
manage to find out about the enemy could decide the fait of the game. For example, perhaps you sent over 5 jedi, 3 artillery,
15 advanced troopers and a couple of mechs. Not a bad little army. It's small but prepared for "almost" anything. Would cost
about 1000 nova, 1000 carbon, and 1000 food as an estimated guess. That's alot of resources. Now...what if the enemy comes
in with a bombing strike. Your jedis will probaly survive, but the rest of your army is screwd if the bombing strike has fighters
with them. There are three ways of transportation. AIR, WATER, and LAND. How exactly you choose to enter your enemy's base
is up to you. Water is very effective, the problem is getting your tranport ships to the shore line in time before they are
shot right out of the water. There are alot of different choses. IF the game gets a little to complex for you then you can
alwaus play the many scenarios created by other players. Most of them have infinate resources so they are much easier. Don't
think your going to win the first time though, scenario masters know what they're doing. There is so much to say about the
game, but I will conclude with "BUY IT" and join the clan :)

Star Wars Battle Front
When E2 Attack of the Clones first came out alot of
new SW games were developed. SW Battlefront was one of those clone war games. What makes it unique is that it's not
your average shoot em up FPS. You get to play with an army of 200-250 men behind you. Pretty awsome! Unfortunatly processor
chips arn't advanced enough to actually give you 200 troops all at once. Instead they are distributed from outposts which
you can capture or lose to the enemy. Sometimes outposts are vehicles. You can have about 30 men actually fighting at a time
and the levels really are quite fun to battle in. For ex. Genonosis, Kashyk, and the Naboo Plains.
Unlike most SW games you can play as a wide variety of different units.
You can play as any team as well. So you could be a Jet Trooper, a Destroeyer Droid, or even a Super Battle Droid. The choice
is up to you. The game doesn't have to be straight foward FPS. You can choose whether you want a 1st or 3rd person view. Each
trooper has it's own special abilities and weapons.
The multiplayer is the best part of the game but the campainge is pretty
awsome as well. It leads you right through the entire SW series. (except E3) You can even play my favourite level, The Battle
of Hoth. You can operate vehicles as well such as the AT-ST or the Air Speeders. It's really kewl. Try it out!

Brothers In Arms
Dawn Of War
Another strategic game that has absolutely no similarity
to SWGB. The game features four civs plus one new civ with the patch you can download. Each civ has it's advantages. The campainge
is terrible but the multiplayer definatly makes up for it. You can pretty much only have one base and no matter how many chain
gun turrets, missile turrets, and mine fields you set up they will always be breakable. The game forces you to fight with
your ground forces and your vehicles. Each civilization has different types of soldiers but generally they all have a commander
and some sort of warlock which are very strong and have massive powers such as an oribtal bomb strike. Some units can teleport
themselves for small distances and others can orbitally drop in on a battle. The vehicles are really strong and kewl. Some
are designed to take down buildings like the tanks where as others are more designed for crushing troops such as the dreadnought
and the defiler. Troops always come in squads that you can upgrade to add more troops to. Some squads can even turn invisible
unless seen by certain units. Managing your army can be difficult because your troops will gain and loss moral depending on
their situation on a battle. The more moral the squad loses the less they will attempt to fight. If a squad loses moral your
best to either move them out of the battle or bring help. If a commander joins the battle or a couple dreadnoughts orbitaly
drop from the sky the squad will gain hope again. You can upgrade squads and vehicles as well by giving some squad members
different members such as sniper rifles, flame throwers, and missile launchers. Vehicles can gain upgrades such as heavier
machine guns or a better blaster cannon. At times you have to choose which upgrade will help your vehicle best because you
can only get one. Each civ ofcourse has some sort of research centre where you can upgrade all of your units and vehicles.
The upgrades arn't expensive. There is much, much more to the game such as massive dragons known as bloodthirsters that can
be summoned but to learn all of the game's abilities you have to buy it. The last thing I feel obliuged to mentioning is that
resources are hardly an issue. You can build 6 power cores per CC to gain power, and rec simply requires you to take over
a requisition point and build a sentry post on it. That's all you have to do. Battles often start over relic points. Relic
points give you tons more rec then the requisition points. So keep that in mind for when you buy the game ;)
